A group of 36 entrepreneurial college students from across South Wales have won the opportunity to run their own pop-up Christmas boutique in the Morgan Arcade this December, following a competition run by First Campus, Further Education Colleges in South East Wales and Welsh Government’s Big Ideas Wales campaign.
An Enterprise Skills Day earlier last month brought together 120 of the most entrepreneurial college students from across South Wales and set them a series of skills based challenges to determine which of them would go on to manage stalls in the pop-up Christmas boutique.
During an intensive skills assessment day they were put through their paces to hone their creativity by innovating everyday objects, pitching and negotiating with event sponsors and working as a team under pressure. The pop-up boutique is the perfect opportunity for the students to showcase the skills they learned and gain experience in running their own business.
For Morgan Quarter shoppers this means even more choice for Christmas shopping and a chance to support entrepreneurship in the local community. We cannot wait to welcome back another group of students for Trading Places, for what will undoubtedly be a fun and festive occasion!
Trading Places will take place on 15th December 2016.
